Partner Michael Battaglia co-authored an article on Computer Implemented Inventions (CIIs) for the Association of Intellectual Property Firms (AIPF) February 2022 issue of the IP Law Bugle.
The article provides an outline of the key parameters in major jurisdictions regarding computer implemented inventions so that the attorney, particularly when drafting patent applications for their own jurisdiction, which may need to be extended to other jurisdictions, such as using the international patent cooperation treaty, can be aware of key issues at the priority date and therefore potentially avoid those issues later.
