Managing IP's 2022 Rising Stars list, recognizing some of the best up-and-coming intellectual property practitioners in private practice who have contributed to the success of their firms and clients, includes Rothwell Figg's Davide Schiavetti. This is the second year Davide has has been named among MIP's Rising Stars.
Managing IP launched its official Rising Stars publication in 2018. The Rising Stars list is based on information obtained during the research for the 2022 edition of IP STARS rankings and Managing IP Awards program. MIP research analysts use all available research data, especially firm submissions and market feedback, to produce this list. Although selection is primarily based on an individual’s contributions and expertise, activities in the IP community are also taken into account. The individuals selected as Rising Stars typically have less than 10 years’ post-qualification experience and are below the position of partner or equivalent level.
Originally from Milan, Italy, and fluent in French, Italian, and Spanish, Davide specializes in counseling clients from European countries on navigating the legal trademark and copyright aspects of their entry into the North American market. Although his clientele spans the European continent, he is particularly active in representing companies from Italy. These operate in various industries, but mostly in food, wine, fashion, and automotive. Davide counsels them in trademark prosecution in the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) as well as litigation in both federal District Courts and the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB).
