Over the course of a legal career spanning five decades, Tony has become one of the leaders of the intellectual property bar, as well as a co-founder of Rothwell Figg. Based in our Washington, D.C. office, Tony specializes in intellectual property law, with emphasis on the chemical, pharmaceutical, healthcare, and biotechnology industries. His practice focuses on patent litigation and inter partes matters before a wide range of tribunals, appeals, alternate dispute resolution, patent procurement, intellectual property licensing and related contract matters, opinions, and strategic counseling. Tony was previously named the Best Lawyers “Lawyer of the Year” in Washington, D.C. for Patent Law in 2019, Litigation- Intellectual Property in 2018, Litigation – Patent in 2013, and Intellectual Property Law in 2011.
Danny is recognized is the areas of Litigation – Intellectual Property, Litigation – Patent, Biotechnology and Life Sciences, and Patent Law, and is involved in all phases of intellectual property law, including United States and foreign patent prosecution, litigation in federal and state courts, licensing, and general client counseling. He has extensive experience with patent interferences and inter partes proceedings at the Patent Office, with particular expertise in biotechnology and pharmaceuticals. Jen, who has been named in Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch® in America since its inception in 2021, is recognized for Intellectual Property Law, Litigation - Patent, and Patent Law. As a highly skilled strategist and thought leader, she focuses her practice on intellectual property law and litigation, and co-chairs Rothwell Figg’s artificial intelligence (AI) practice team. With a degree in Information Science, Systems, and Technology, Jen has hands-on experience developing language models for natural language processing applications, and has been advising clients on IP, data protection, and privacy issues in the space for over ten years. For large corporations and emerging companies, Jen also routinely represents clients with breakthrough innovations in virtual reality, big data, the Internet of Things, privacy, cybersecurity, quantum, and blockchain technologies.
New to the Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch® in America rankings this year, Aydin integrates scientific expertise with legal experience to help his clients grow, protect, and defend the intellectual property that powers their businesses. Aydin counsels and advocates for his clients in both prosecuting patents and managing patent portfolios and in the courtroom, where he is an experienced litigator who handles every aspect of patent-related cases. Originally a scientist with a Ph.D. in biochemistry, he has devoted his career to studying and working with various aspects of science and technology.
