Partner R. Danny Huntington will speak on "Inequitable Conduct: Refresher and Update" at the 2023 IPOwners Spring Summit put on by the Intellectual Property Owners Association (IPO) and taking place March 16, 2023, in Washington, D.C.
Danny and his co-speakers will provide information of use to experienced patent attorneys and new practitioners, providing an overview of the ethical obligation of practice as well as the substantive law of inequitable conduct and related disciplinary matters, including several recent cases find inequitable conduct despite the barriers created in 2011 by Therasence. They will also provide practical procedures and practices to avoid creating a record that leads to inequitable conduct and for more compact prosecution.
The 6th annual IPOwners Spring Summit is a one-day conference with the theme "Understanding the Needs of In-house IP Counsel in Today's Business Environment." The conference is designed for mid to senior IP attorneys with topics directly relevant to in-house attorneys while providing outside counsel information that will enhance relationship building and productivity with their corporate clients.
