Partner Jennifer Maisel ("Jen") will be a speaker during the Federal Communication Bar Association's (FCBA) virtual CLE titled "Taking Stock of the 2024 AI Landscape: A Look Back at Federal and State AI Developments" taking place Thursday, November 14, 2024, from 1-3 pm ET.
Organized by the FCBA Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Robotics Committee, the virtual event will be broken down into two session - one focusing on state laws and enforcement activities around AI and the second focusing on federal efforts.
The trend toward regulation of Artificial Intelligence (AI) is more than mere speculation as government bodies at the state and federal levels have taken significant action to begin implementing guidelines, guardrails, and regulatory frameworks for the use of AI. In the past year, state legislatures have forged ahead with groundbreaking legislation to regulate the rapidly advancing technology. Federal agencies have also worked to implement the Biden Administration's October 2023 Executive Order on the Safe, Secure, and Trustworthy Development and Use of Artificial Intelligence and apply existing rules to the AI industry.
Founded in 1936, the FCBA attracts members from the communications and technologies industries, creating a nexus of community.
