Partner Jennifer Maisel ("Jen") will be a panelist at the 2024 ROADMAP Summit, taking place December 3-4, 2024, in Washington, D.C. ROADMAP is a new national summit hosted by the U.S. National Science Foundation in partnership with the Economic Development Administration that, for the first time, will gather the teams leading the historic place-based innovation investments supported by the federal government to bolder U.S. competitiveness in science and technology. Jen will participate on a panel titled "Big Ideas in Tiny Tech: IP Protection for Quantum and Other Emerging Technology" on December 4, 2024.
Since Congress passed the CHIPS and Science Act of 2022, the federal government has invested tens of billions of dollars in place-based innovation initiatives, ushering in a new, ambitious chapter for how the federal government can spur future of innovation and economic development. ROADMAP will gather a highly curated and select group of leading thinkers, current and former elected officials, industry leaders, and journalists as well as the nation’s emerging innovation ecosystem builders spanning over 40 regional ecosystems building in topics ranging from climate to biotech to advanced semiconductors. The event will assemble the nation’s leaders of place-based innovation efforts and connect those teams with industry, capital, and community stakeholders to chart a roadmap to secure and accelerate U.S. science and technology leadership while showcasing emerging technologies that will strengthen American competitiveness.
