Partner Dan Shores will present on "Navigating the ADC Patent Landscape: Strategic Approaches to Taking Advantage of Key ADC Patent Expirations & Building ADC Patent Assets With & Without Traditional Payloads" at the 2nd Annual ADC Payload Summit taking place May 6-8, 2025, in Boston, Massachusetts.

Dan's session, taking place on May 8, will analyze the implications of traditional payload patent expiration on ADC development strategy; discuss opportunities for medicinal chemistry modifications to create novel IP around off-patent payloads; and explore strategic approaches to protecting novel ADC candidates and evaluating potential candidates against the patent landscape.

As the ADC landscape becomes more competitive, the limited availability of targets and antigens highlights the need to diversify payload modes of action to address cancers with high unmet needs. The 2nd ADC Payload Summit returns to Boston to help reimagine the medicinal chemistry of traditional cytotoxic payloads while scouting the next generation of ADC payload innovations. With novel payload categories such as degraders, RNA polymerase II inhibitors, immunomodulators, gene silences, and splice modulators entering the clinic, this is an opportunity to explore the benefits of these diverse mechanisms of action to develop the next blockbuster ADC.
