Rothwell Figg partner Steven Lieberman will moderate a panel titled "Patentable Subject Matter: Is the Pendulum Swinging Back?" at the Managing Intellectual Property (MIP) US Patent Forum 2017. Among other topics, the panel will cover: what we can learn from examining software patent survivors of 2016; drawing comparisons between District Court approaches; IP issues with the internet of things; and whether design patents and trade secrets are adequate alternatives to software patents.
The forum addresses the major U.S. patent issues at hand, encouraging participation and debate from varied perspectives. In addition, MIP brings to the agenda its global expertise so as to offer multinational corporations cutting-edge guidance on handling IP portfolios in a globalized world. The MIP US Patent Forum 2017 brings together world leaders in corporations and industry associations, as well as leading legal experts, to discuss and impart valuable knowledge.
