Partners Joo Mee Kim and Robert Parker ("Bob") will participate in panels at the Federal Circuit Bar Association (FCBA) 2019 Global Series Conference, taking place on October 14-16, 2019, in Honolulu, Hawaii. The FCBA's Global Series is a semi-annual conference to promote dialogue among senior judges, corporate executives, and attorneys from around the world on issues of international importance. The Series responds, in real time, to emerging challenges in the intellectual property and trade communities.
Joo Mee will moderate a session titled “Cybersecurity.” Among her panelists will be a senior researcher at Peking University and a senior expert at Tencent. Bob will be a panelist with, among others, a judge from the Supreme People’s Court of the People’s Republic of China. His panel is titled “Global Series Major Challenges: Damages and Injunctions.” Other speakers at the conference will include judges from the U.S. Court of of Appeals for the Federal Circuit; IP courts in Japan, Korea and Europe; and USPTO Director, Andrei Iancu.
