D. Lawson Allen
D. Lawson Allen focuses his practice on patent litigation, post-grant proceedings before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board, patent prosecution, opinions, and counseling. Mr. Allen has worked on a variety of litigation matters, including patent infringement actions, inter partes reviews, and interferences. He has experience in a wide variety of technologies in the chemical, biological, and pharmaceutical fields. In addition to these fields, Mr. Allen also has experience in electrical and computer-related technologies.
Mr. Allen worked as a summer associate at Rothwell Figg in 2016 before joining the firm in 2017. During this time, he worked closely with members of the litigation team and participated in a district court trial involving a patent interference.
Mr. Allen graduated with a J.D. from Wake Forest University School of Law, where he received CALI Excellence for the Future Awards for Patent Litigation, Litigation Drafting, Biotechnology Law and Policy, and Bioethics. He received his B.S., summa cum laude, in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
